PARISH COUNCIL MEETING   

  1. Apologies for absence received – acceptance and recording of apologies
  2. Record declarations of interest from Councillors, to consider written requests from Councillors for the Council to grant a dispensation (S33 of the Localism Act 2011)
  3. Approval of the minutes of the Parish Council meeting and Annual Meeting of the Parish Council held on Thursday 21 May 2026
  4. Discuss matters arising from the minutes not covered later in the agenda
  5. Review the planning committee observations
  6. Receive the Clerk’s report – correspondence received and progress report on matters not on the agenda
  7. Financial matters
    • Review and approval of payments
    • Receive and approve financial statements and bank reconciliation to 31 May 2026
    • Note the increase in NJC mileage rate
  8. Discuss Parish Council Response to Stafford Borough New Local Plan 2025 – 2045: Scoping & Participation consultation
  9. To discuss and agree contribution towards plants and flowers for village displays
  10. Discuss maintenance of assets and repairs/maintenance to bus shelters in Tittensor.
  11. Review and agree publication scheme

FILE NOTE OF THE SWYNNERTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING – INQUORATE MEETING

  Held on Thursday, 25 June 2026 at Hanchurch Village Hall

Councillors in attendance: Cllr D Bishop (Chairperson), Cllr N Adams

Stafford Borough Council:  None present

Stafford County Council:  Cllr Bagguley

In attendance:  L Davies (Parish Clerk), members of the public

 

Public Question Time

  1. The Chairperson welcomed everyone to the meeting.

  1. To consider matters raised by members of the public

Residents from Northwood Lane raised their concerns over the approval of the outline planning application 26/41909/PIP. Whilst waiting for a full planning application to submitted the residents intended to form a local action group to form objections.

  1. Reports from County and Borough Councillors

Cllr Bagguley stated that he had requested for the A34 central reservation in Tittensor to be cut and that the feasibility study for a crossing at the A34 had been submitted.

 

Parish Council Meeting

  1. There being only two Parish Councillors present, the meeting was declared inquorate, and the meeting was closed.

The date the next Parish Council meeting will be on Thursday 6th August 2026, 7.15pm at Tittensor Village Hall
