On Thursday 6th June, Swynnerton joined villages, towns, cities and organisations across the country in lighting a beacon to commemorate the D-Day landings. Villagers gathered to remember the bravery and sacrifice of those involved in D-Day and at 9.15pm the beacon was lit to mark this occassion.
