Notice of utility survey works
January 2023| www.hs2.org.uk
High Speed Two (HS2) is the new high speed railway for Britain. We are writing to make you aware of the next stage of work that will be undertaken by National Grid Electrical Distribution that is related to HS2.
What are we doing
In order to construct the railway, it is necessary to divert a number of High Voltage Electricity circuits currently situated in the vicinity of the proposed HS2 infrastructure.
National Grid need to carry out ground investigation surveys in the area to gather data to inform the design of the electricity infrastructure diversions.
One of our framework contractors will excavate trial holes and take borehole samples in locations shown on the plan.
The works will not take any longer than 3 weeks with only small vans and 4×4 vehicles needing to access the fields along with a JCB 3CX wheeled excavator.
